TP Orthodontics has developed a titanium alloy wire under the name TiMolium* that is resistant to breakage and superior in yield strength. This technologically advanced wire may potentially accelerate patient treatment time.

Studies indicate that this wire's smooth and consistent surface greatly reduces friction. It can be used in the intermediate stage of orthodontic treatment, resulting in a faster transition to rectangular wires. In addition, TiMolium provides for improved torque control throughout all phases of treatment.

TiMolium's advanced wire technology minimizes breakage -- a problem frequently encountered with titanium molybdenum wires (TMA). Intricate loops and bends can be made to accommodate a variety of treatment options. This wire is also ideal for accurate gripping and torquing of ceramic brackets.

Available in two lengths -- small and large, TiMolium Wire is nickel-free eliminating the risk of patient allergies. TiMolium wire has a shiny surface appearance that is more attractive on patients in comparison to wire with a dark gray color, making for an improved cosmetic appearance.
An international panel of experts has evaluated this wire and confirmed TiMolium outperforms other titanium wires in bendability, esthetics and reduced breakage.
