The Palodent Contoured Sectional Matrix provides the operator with exact control of every surface of the restoration
The Palodent Contoured Sectional Matrix provides the operator with exact control of every surface of the restoration. Features include:
  • Its shape provides natural contours and profiles. The contact appears in its natural position, rather than the flat surface and improper contact of conventional matrices.
  • It is malleable and can be adapted to the residual tooth surfaces.
  • The embrasure can be controlled without having to disk or polish in difficult areas near the contact.
  • It can be used with any restorative material, including composites, silver amalgam, wax patterns, and temporaries.
  • It can be removed laterally with minimal disruption of freshly placed material.
  • It can be applied and adjusted with sterile instruments to maintain sterility.
  • It is fast and simple to use because there is no need to insert any part of the matrix in the untreated opposite contact. Additionally, with no matrix-thickness separating the untreated opposite contact, it is easier to separate the treated contact.
  • A notch at the top of the matrix ensures that the assistant passes the matrix in the cotton pliers properly oriented.
