Patterson Acquires Barr Dental Supply

Patterson Dental Co. (St. Paul, MN) has purchased Barr Dental Supply Inc. of Medford OR. Terms of the transaction were not released.

The company, with 1998 sales of $3.4 million, has more than 300 accounts in the Pacific Northwest.

"This acquisition is in keeping with our strategy to expand our customer base by capitalizing on the consolidating dental supply industry," said Peter Frechette, Patterson president and CEO. The company supplies products to dentists, dental laboratories, institutions, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
