Innovative New Device Brings Improved Performance And Better Ergonomics To Dental Practices
Isolite Systems Introduces Its Next Generation Dryfield Illuminator
Philadelphia - Isolite Systems, a designer and marketer of innovative, ergonomically efficient dental devices, announced the introduction of its next generation dryfield illuminator, the Isolite i2.
The original Isolite dryfield illuminator was the first dental device to converge the functions of light, aspiration, and retraction in one easy-to-use tool that helps professionals perform procedures in less time with better ergonomics. The latest Isolite builds upon the original and delivers first of its kind LED technology as well as a streamlined look and greater control functions for light intensity and vacuum strength.
"The team at Isolite has done it again," said Dr. Armen Mirzayan, a Los Angeles-area specialist in esthetic dentistry. "The Isolite elegantly solves many of the everyday challenges facing dental professionals that had been left unaddressed for years. Using Isolite helps me see better and perform procedures faster. The retraction provided via Isolite means I no longer have to battle the tongue throughout the procedure. It's comfortable for the patient and improves my overall dentistry."
The Isolite i2 features new LED technology which provides ultra-bright light, extremely long-life, and a sleeker presence in the dental operatory. The LED innovation is made possible by Isolite Systems' proprietary cooling technology for which the company has worldwide patents pending. This engineering advance means that extraneous light boxes and fiber-optic cables are no longer necessary, thereby freeing up space in the dental operatory.
The strong, super lightweight Isolite titanium control head weighs only 2.5 ounces and can be easily moved and used by dentists, dental assistants and hygienists. As with the original Isolite, simultaneous isolation of upper and lower quadrants is easy, swift and incredibly comfortable for the patient. Dual fingertip controls for vacuum strength allow for infinite adjustment of maxillary and mandibular vacuum strength -- especially helpful for dental patients with tooth sensitivity.
The unique patented Isolite mouthpiece is the heart of the Isolite system and the point at which illumination, isolation and aspiration converge. With the mouthpiece in place, the dental patient's tongue and cheek are retracted and protected. As an additional safety feature, the mouthpiece obturates the throat to prevent inadvertent aspiration of material. Disposable, latex-free mouthpieces are constructed of Isoflex a soft flexible polymer, and are available in four sizes.
"We are excited to debut our new Isolite dryfield illuminator at the American Dental Association," said Dr. Tom Hirsch, CEO and Inventor of the Isolite. "We have taken a very exciting product and made it remarkably better. Our goal is to deliver improved profitability, better ergonomics and greater patient comfort and safety to dental practices around the world."
