Imaging Sciences opened its doors for business in 1992 with the initial goal of introducing a CT quality imaging system to the dental community at a fraction of the cost. In 1992 our CommCAT Imaging System was introduced with our first 5 units being built in the garage of our president and CEO Henry Tancredi. We have grown by leaps and bounds since then, and now have over 170 systems installed worldwide. The CommCAT Imaging System has become internationally recognized by leading radiologists as an excellent and cost effective alternative to CT scans without sacrificing diagnostic value.

In 1996, we introduced SURGplan, an implant planning software utilizing tomographic images produced by the CommCAT. It was designed to facilitate communication between referring doctors, improve patient education, and increase patients acceptance. SURGplan was subsequently made available for any tomographic system. In 1998 we introduced PANplan, an implant planning software designed around standard panoramic images. In 1999 we moved into our current 16,500 square foot engineering, manufacturing, sales, marketing, and customer service facility in Hatfield, Pennsylvania. Also in 1999 we introduced the Xport Mobile X-Ray Imaging System with a total system weight of under 90 lbs., it has the power to easily fill mobile X-ray needs. The lightest in its class, Xport provides unsurpassed flexibility and image quality for medical and veterinary medicine. In 2000 we have introduced the Panorex CMT Imaging System, a smaller touch screen operated Doctor/Assistant friendly unit designed for imaging center quality diagnostic films for the dental professionals private office. We have a number of products in development, digital versions of our current tomographic, panoramic and cephalometric units. A state of the art touch screen computer controlled panoramic unit, a dental/medical high-speed processor with a few more surprises in the future.
