HOYA ConBio And The Hornbrook Group Announce Expanded Alliance
Fremont CA - HOYA ConBio, a global leader in dental and aesthetic lasers, recently announced an extended alliance with The Hornbrook Group, an internationally recognized dental education company, in which VersaWave and DioDent Micro 980 lasers will be the exclusive hard-tissue and soft-tissue lasers used in the ongoing curriculum. The educational partnership will place HOYA lasers in front of 350 dentists annually who participate in continuing education programs for aesthetic and functional dentistry.
"We are excited to broaden our relationship with The Hornbrook Group as we work together to offer the best live-patient, hands-on education experience for the dental community," said Timothy S. Gehlmann, President & CEO, HOYA ConBio. "This effort is part of our overall corporate strategy to partner with leading continuing education institutions that understand the importance of superior clinical dentistry and have the ability to transition that knowledge to clinical profitability."
Based on the new agreement, HOYA ConBio lasers will be a staple at all Hornbrook Group courses through 2009 at their Center for Advanced Clinical Education in Chicago. The educational partnership also includes a sponsorship of a Corporate Workshop at the 2008 American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Meeting in New Orleans, May 6 - 9th, where the Hornbrook Group's faculty will lead hands-on instruction to communicate the latest advances of lasers in dentistry.
"We continue to be impressed with the superior technology and reliable operation of HOYA ConBio lasers and consider them best-in-market products for cosmetic and restorative dentistry," said Dr. David Hornbrook, Executive Director of The Hornbrook Group. "HOYA lasers were selected as exclusive equipment in our instructional programs due to their superb engineering and market leadership. We're proud to feature the VersaWave erbium and, now, the DioDent Micro 980 diode laser and look forward to using the cutting-edge technology for advanced training in the increasingly important role of lasers in dentistry."
The VersaWave Erbium hard-tissue laser is used for state-of-the-art instruction in soft tissue smile design, smile lift procedures, frenectomies and hard tissue application in closed flap, open flap and pre-prosthetic surgical procedures. The DioDent Micro 980 is a next-generation diode laser for use in a wide variety of procedures, including excisional and incisional biopsies, fibroma removal, gingivectomy, gingivoplasty, oral papillectomies and sulcular debridement.
