The Tri Auto-ZX apex measuring endodontic handpiece features an Auto Apical Reverse and Auto Torque Reverse mechanism that makes the handpiece safer than any other endodontic handpiece, according to the supplier. The low-speed endodontic handpiece with built-in apex locator helps prevent destruction of the natural configuration of the root and the breaking of nickel titanium files. Combined with the technology and accuracy of the Root ZX apex locator, the handpiece gives the clinician the ability to electronically monitor the canal before, during and after instrumentation.

Handpiece motor will automatically shut off after three minutes if the handpiece is not in use to conserve power
