CeramOptec is the "Least Common Denominator". We have been manufacturing OEM for most laser manufacturers since 1986. For example, a typical ophthalmic laser system consists of optical fiber, a connector and the handpiece or "business end". We extrude the glass or optical fiber (actually manufacture it) and then assemble the handpiece and connector all under one roof. Sterilization is contracted. Sales are factory direct, eliminating two middlemen (each getting 25%). With factory direct sales and vertical integration, it is clear that a 40% to 50% savings can be taken. Often with hospital groups 60% savings can be taken based on current hospital pricing.
