Air Abrasion System

The StarTech Air Abrasion System is a fully pneumatic portable tabletop system that uses existing air supply. The device provides precision cut with minimal overspray. Its powder pickup design allows uniform abrasive delivery and eliminates the "puffing" found in other systems.

Applications include Class I occlusal caries and detection, Class II tunnel-type preparations, Class II proximal caries, Class IV proximal incisal caries, Class V cervical caries, Class VI incisal edge caries, preparation for resin veneers, and cleaning and preparing for crown, bridge and orthodontic band repairs.

The system uses pressurized air mixed with aluminum oxide particles to cut teeth. It removes small amounts at a time, which helps retain healthy tooth structure, and puts an end to microfracturing and chipping that can occur with conventional rotary instruments.

inline moisture removal filter on the air line that indicates moisture and protects system parts

eliminates noise, odor, and vibrations found in rotary instruments
