EZ Stopper consists of a set of medical grade, color-coded silicone tubing that can be easily measured and cut to the desired length in seconds. The trimmed silicone stoppers will stretch-fit over most surgical drills to provide accurate drill depth control during dental implant placement. Both the storage tray and silicone tubing are autoclavable for effective infection control. EZ Stopper is suitable for both free-hand and guided surgeries.

Each silicone stopper is color-coded to fit the corresponding surgical drill sizes as follows:

RED Ø 1.8 – 2.4mm

GREEN Ø 2.5 – 3.4mm

YELLOW Ø 3.5 – 4.4mm

BLUE Ø 4.5 – 5.6mm

To use EZ Stopper, first determine the appropriate drill depth based on radiographic and clinical evaluations. Then measure and trim a silicone stopper to the appropriate length using the measurement scale with lockable metal stop on the left side of storage tray. Stretch-fit the trimmed silicone stopper over the drill, making sure the stopper is seated all the way onto the handpiece head to prevent push-back during surgery. Lastly, proceed with drilling the implant site to the appropriate depth.

It should be noted that EZ Stopper is intended for single use only. Each silicone stopper is custom trimmed for a particular patient, and it should be carefully cut and removed from the drill using a sharp scalpel after surgery. Repeated sterilization will weaken and soften the silicone tubing and render it unusable.
