History
The United Dental Dealers (UDD) Buying Group was founded by several independent dental dealers in 1995 and begin operation with 8 charter members. These dealers recognized the impact that dental industry mergers and acquisitions were having on their own businesses. They felt that they, and many other independent dental dealers like them, could benefit from membership in a dealer buying group. The purpose of the buying group would be to help "level the playing field" between themselves and the large national distributors that were beginning to totally dominate the dental industry. Today, the UDD Buying Group's total membership has grown to 26 member-dealers with combined annual retail sales of over $100 million.
Mission Statement
The United Dental Dealers (UDD) Buying Group was established to improve member profitability by providing them with national account buying programs to reduce the cost of resale products and operating expenses, and also to provide related educational and promotional opportunities.
