Affinity Labeling Technologies, Inc., (ALT), is a biotechnology company devoted to the production and use of photoaffinity compounds for solving problems in the biomedical and basic sciences. Our website was designed as an educational resource for persons working in the health care field including dentistry and medicine as well as researchers in the basic sciences.
Our Mission
The mission of ALT, Inc. is four-fold:
The primary mission of the company is to develop new methods and applications for the use of photoaffinity nucleotide analogs for performing in vitro toxicity testing and for identifying protein biomarkers of specific diseases. The results of these tests are intended to be used as diagnostic aides by medically trained professionals.
The second mission of the company is to develop, manufacture and sell a variety of both radioactive and nonradioactive photoaffinity nucleotide analogs. ALT, Inc. is devoted to making the use of 32P labeled photoaffinity compounds economically feasible for all researchers by offering these compounds in much larger quantities at higher specific activities and at greatly reduced prices.
The third mission of the company is to raise the level of awareness among the public as well as those involved in the dental and health care professions concerning the role of good oral health and hygiene in maintaining the over all well-being of the individual.
The fourth mission is to promote the elimination of all needless and avoidable forms of mercury exposure including mercury in "silver" amalgam fillings and thimerosal in vaccines.
Our Motto
"We are a solution in search of a problem"
Let ALT, Inc. show you how the powerful and proven technology of nucleotide photoaffinity labeling can be used to solve your problems or answer your questions in the medical and basic sciences.
