National Dentex Makes Forbes List of Best Small Companies
November 29, 2001
WAYLAND, MA - National Dentex is extremely proud of being one of only 12 companies to make the Forbes Magazine "200 Best Small Companies" list for four consecutive years. To maintain their strict criteria in a weakening economy - a minimum of 5 percent growth in sales and earnings over each of the last five years - the magazine had to raise the revenue limit of potential companies to be reviewed from $350 million to $600 million. This increased the number of eligible companies to more than 20,000 and therefore made the competition even tougher. The final rankings are based on six equally weighted metrics: return on equity, sales and earnings-per-share growth, each of them measured during the past five years and for the most recent four quarters.
David Brown, president and CEO, stated: "This continued acknowledgment of National Dentex speaks highly of each and every one of our more than 1,400 dedicated and talented employees, whose efforts day in and day out have helped to make this achievement possible. For each of our shareholders I wish to thank all of these employees, as well as Forbes for their continued recognition."
