SleepRight Dental Guard Receives FDA Clearance

July 9, 2008

Kansas City, MO - Splintek announced the SleepRight dental guard has received Over-The-Counter (OTC) clearance from The Food and Drug Administration. According to the FDA, the SleepRight dental guard is indicated for protection against nighttime teeth grinding called bruxism. It is intended to reduce damage to the teeth and to prevent the noise associated with bruxism or grinding.

"Everyday people are under more stress factors, whether from work, bills, or relationships. Stress can manifest itself in the form of bruxism (teeth grinding)," said Thomas Brown, Chief Executive Officer for the company. "We find it very rewarding to pioneer the first No-Boil FDA cleared dental guard that helps people protect their teeth from the harmful effects of teeth grinding."

For many years, teeth grinders have made multiple visits to the dental office, spending hundreds of dollars being fit for a dental guard. Many dental guards can feel bulky or require several tedious steps such as boiling water and biting into hot plastic, similar to boil and bite type athletic guards. The SleepRight dental guard is an affordable and effective solution that will save you trips to the dental office. There's no boiling water and hot plastic to bite into; its ready to use out of the box, a benefit embraced by many consumers who travel frequently.

The SleepRight is the only "No-Boil" dental guard available, which combines innovative self-adjust technology for an individual custom fit. "You can walk into a drug store, pick up a SleepRight and immediately protect your teeth from the harmful effects of grinding with the best technology on the market. Consumers are demanding convenience and quality; Splintek is providing that with the SleepRight," said Brown.
